New Designs for The Needlework Expo 2021

Susan and I are excited about giving you a pre-show reveal at what we have been getting ready for the Needlework Expo!  The Needlework Expo is a wholesale market that can only be attended by shop owners.  However, you can select your favorites and have your favorite order them for you!  We hope that you will enjoy our new designs!

Wedding at Mermaid's Cove
There's a wedding on this sunny day at Mermaid's Cove!  Look at all the little "brides" and groom's men dressed for the wedding! Do you see how the bride just seems to sparkle on her special day?  There is even a whale signaling lots of good luck on the horizon and a mermaid over at the lighthouse watching all of the festivities!  It's a wonderful day in Mermaid's Cove.

Morning Tweet
It's early in the morning in Birdtown and all the birds have started to leave their nests to start the day.  The sun is coming up-listen, did you hear it? It is the first tweet of the day.  All the little ears have perked up for all the news to be gathered in the first Morning Tweet!

Mary E. Allen Sampler
The Mary E. Allen Sampler was stitched in 1836.  The original sampler was stitched on plain, even-weave linen with 2 ply silk floss.  It incorporates cross stitch, satin stitch, rice, Algerian and Smyrna stitches and is hem-stitched around the edges.

Creepy Pumpkin Stackers
Our pumpkin patch is haunted!  Just look at the pumpkins-they have all sorts of bats, cats & monsters peeping out of them and dancing all around them!  Some of the monsters are even glowing in the dark! These pumpkins are full of mischief!! They are even stacking themselves 2 or 3 high so that they can hop out and scare those passing by!  It's going to be an exciting Halloween at the farmer's pumpkin patch this year!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus Ornaments

These 2 ornaments are made as flat-folds; however you can finish them as an ornament for your tree or a small pillow.  Whichever you do, we hope that you will enjoy stitching these fun decorations for your home!

Blue Frost Ornament kit

This delightfully cute ornament is a limited edition kit.  Materials used include cotton floss, linen, trims, backing, ribbon, & more. All materials and complete finishing instructions are included.

Bouton de Rose kit
This adorable necklace kit is a limited edition kit. The picture shows the back as well as the front. It is a perfect gift for a stitcher!  It uses 32ct linen and DMC floss. All instructions & materials are included.

We hope that you will enjoy all of our new designs! Keep Stitching!

Happy Stitching!

Fall online Needlework Show

Hope that everyone is having a great fall. It is almost time for the fall online Needlework Show! (http://www.needleworkshow.com/)  It runs October 20-25.  Everyone can go and see all the new designs for the designers participating.  If you find something that you like, then you can visit (roadtrip!!) or call your favorite shop so they can order it for you!  It is a way that you can see new designs and designers that you may not know about. We are also having a doorprize drawing! Have fun!

Pumpkins

This fall we decided to design a piece that shows our fasination with all the beautiful colors and shapes of pumpkins!  Pumpkins are a big thing here in North Carolina with all the kindergarten children making trips to the pumpkin farm to select their very own pumpkin and to ride on the hay wagon.  Such a fun trip for everyone!

Christmas Biscornu

This small elegant biscornu is a fast stitch and the perfect little gift for that special stitcher in your life.  Stitched in red on the front and green on the back,  it looks just like the Christmas season but the colors can be changed to fit your own taste.  All the stitching instructions are included with the chart.  We were able to stitch it up and finish it in a weekend-so plenly of time to make several before the holidays!

Take care and we will be in touch--we have pictures from the Cleveland County Fair!
