Trick or Treat-a new Down the Lane design!

We have a new design in our Down the Lane Series!! It is called Trick or Treat.  It is stitched on 28ct Vintage Winter Sky from Lakeside Linens with floss from A Gentle Art, Weeks Dye Works and metallic floss from DMC.  We also use Mill Hill beads and buttons from Just Another Button Company!      Remember when you went out to trick or treat? We would get dressed in what we could find in Mom's closet and the sewing scrap bag. It was so much fun-it was such a innocent time. My sisters and I would walk in the twilight and feel so brave to be out!  Our biggest worry was the neighbor's dog.  Stitch and dream of those special days from long ago!

Happy Stitching!

Widow Black's B & B --Our new design for the Fall TNNA Market

Widow Black's B & B is our newest haunted house! It is just a fun design to stitch! Widow Black is opening her parlor--uh bed and breakfast in our Halloween Village. She is inviting guests to parlor for a cup of her special tea! She has a few long time guests that are just wrapped up in all the comings and goings of the house. Some of them just linger and...linger!

Be sure to add Widow Black's B & B to your Halloween Treats--but don't allow her to entice you in to her Parlor!

Quaker Harvest Necessaire Floss Symbols

It has been a busy spring!  The weather is just beautiful here in North Carolina today-but more rain is scheduled for the weekend.  We had 4 plus inches of rain in the last 2 weeks so it is good to see the sun out.

We found that with some of the Quaker Harvest Necessaire kits that part Floss Symbols were cut off.  So we are posting the new pdf of the complete list.  Hopefully it will print for you with no problem.  If you need us to we will be glad to email you a copy! Hope this will  take care of everything!

Hope that you will have a wonderful weekend!

Online Needlework Show starts Today!

The online Needlework Show ( starts to day at 2pm! Whoo Hoo!! Who doesn't love to shop and especially when you can buy more stash!! Keep the shoes, give me stitching!!
After much begging and pleading from some of our stitching friends, (you know who you are!) we decided to release our Bluebird Trifle Case as a chart.  So if you did not get to purchase this sweet little design, then you have the chance to pick this up!
The inside has a felt bird-shaped needle rest and a tiny thimble nest!  We did include all the materials list  and the finishing instructions! It is very small and could be finished in a couple of nights!
We are also making another kit that we have had many requests for available as a chart.  It is call  the Bunny Garden Needleroll.
This is a chart features a needleroll, scissor weight and pincushion.  It also includes a bead pack. We did include all the materials list  and the finishing instructions! It is a good way to learn some of those fun stitches-especially when you only have to stitch 2 or 3 of them!
Have fun at the Needlework Show! Remember that even if you are shopping the night away, you still have to sleep!
Happy Stitching!

Name mistake for design

Do you ever have those wonderful moments of utter clarity that reminds you that you goofed up?  When I was typing the names for the new designs I wrote Pumpkin Harvest Necessaire--It is supposed to be Quaker Harvest Necessaire.  I was thinking of the shape I guess and my fingers did the translation.  One of those crazy things that our brain does.  Thanks for your patience!

Happy Stitching!

New Designs for Nashville 2013

Simple Gifts-Courage holds a special place in our hearts. We are celebrating all those in our lives who have struggled with different types of cancer. While we have charted our design using the colors for breast cancer, we are including with each chart a list of the different cancers with its colors, and an alphabet the same letters as the one in the chart so that you can personalize it for your loved one. As part of our commitment to cancer eradication, we are donating 20% of all the profits from this chart to the American Cancer Society. By donating to ACS, then all the different cancer research facilities can benefit.
This will be available at the Nashville Market starting March 2, 2013
