New Designs for Fall 2025

Hi! 

I hope that you have a fun, delightful summer.  It has been very hot here until the last week when we have had lots and lots of rain.  I have been so excited to show the new designs for the fall with all the luscious colors.  I hope that you will enjoy them too!  These will be premiering at the Fall Needlework Market-so that means your will be seeing them appear at your local shop very soon. Remember you can go ahead and reserve your copy with them now so you don't left out!

 Simple Gifts-Harvest 

My newest Quaker design is all about fall! Come and celebrate the season along with all the pumpkins, squirrels, scarecrows & acorns!

This chart is a fun biscornu featuring the fall with multicolor leaves, acorns & squirrels in a delightful design. All finishing directions are included.

Midnight Boo 

It's time to start the party with lots of cats, bats & other ghoulies!
Stitch this fun treat with glow-in-the-dark floss, buttons & more! There are lots of delightful surprises peeping out for you to stitch.

A Christmas Sewing Box

New Designs for the Fall Needlework Market 2024

 Hi all! 

I hope that you have had a wonderful summer with lots of fun and stitching in it! I have been busy designing and stitching the new designs for this fall. (And yes, I do stitch my own models!) I really excited to show them to you!

Simple Gifts- Haunted is my newest Quaker design is full of delightful spooky treats! Come and celebrate the season along with all of the ghosts, bats, & ghouls!

           The Blue Snowflake Ornament kit is a limited-edition kit.  This fun design is perfect for all the holiday celebrations! Materials used in this design feature a wooden ornament, ribbon, beads, floss, linen, hanger, & trim. Chart includes complete finishing directions. 

Creepy Spider kit is a limited-edition kit. Materials used in this tiny creepy Halloween treat include a tin, cotton floss, linen, ribbon trim, strong magnet, beads for the fob, & more. All materials and complete finishing instructions are included

A Swan's Christmas is a limited-edition kit that comes packaged with an ornament frame, 32ct linen & floss. Frames are either red/green or silver/ gold. All materials and complete finishing instructions are included. 

It’s Back! I are so excited that I have been able to get some caskets for the Haunted Casket Kit.  It is a limited-edition kit. The kit comes packaged in an unfinished wooden casket which lights up to give it an eerie glow! The casket can be left natural for a rustic look or can be colored with watercolor markers for an individual design. It includes a beaded scissor fob, moon light cover & pincushion. It uses 32ct linen and DMC floss. All materials and complete finishing instructions are included.

New Designs for Nashville Market

Good morning!  

Hope that you are busy thinking about all kinds of things that are stitching related! Just wanted you to know about of all the new designs for you!  

Chilly Willy Stacker

Following our other fun Stackers is our winter version! An antique spool will be included in the chart at market. All finishing instructions are included in the chart. 

Corrections!

Just needed to let you know that I found a problem with the Chilly Willy Stacker symbols on the small (face) section.  So let me explain what you need to know to correct your copy of the design.

Use Black Licorice for the eyes and mouth.

Use Tea Rose for the cheeks and the first large snowflake. 

Use Carrot for his nose. 

Also use Black Licorice for the dark blue French knots and back stitching. 

Just goes to show that we can have the best intentions, but mistakes still happen!! I am so sorry for the mistake!

A new design in the Quaker series!  This fun design is stitched in shades of blue and white; with snowmen and snowflakes to delight the eye.

Haunted Hillside Farm

Spooktackular tricks are underway at the farm!  Hanging spiders, glowing pumpkins and ghostly appearances are ready for those brave enough to go! This piece is finished as a table topper but can be framed as well. Chart includes complete finishing directions. 

Busy Bee Pinball Kit

This is a limited-edition kit. It includes linen, floss, ribbon, fabric, and finishing discs. It uses 32ct linen and DMC floss. All complete finishing instructions & materials are included with the kit.

Simple Gifts-O Holy Night

Simple Gifts-O Holy Night is our newest Quaker inspired design ready just in time for Christmas. Started as companion piece to Simple Gifts-Christmas, this new design echoes the the meaning and the symbols of Christmas.  We hope that you will enjoy stitching this as much as we did! 

A Spooky Biscornu

This was so much fun to stitch! Complete with bats, spiders, cats, ghosts and skeletons, this oversized (6 inches square) will be a spooky addition to all of your stitching smalls! Happy Halloween!

New Designs for Nashville 2018!

Hope you have had a wonderful winter season-full of time to stitch!  We are still busy getting ready for Nashville but we wanted to take time to share our new designs.  We think that you will have fun with these!

Jingle All The Way Dust off your sleds and sharpen your skate blades, it's time for the annual Moonlight Sledding party!  The first big snow has arrived and the full moon is rising.  All the children either are busy heading for the biggest hill in town to sled or the pond to skate. Even the dog is in on the fun! It's an evening for cold weather, hot chocolate and friends!

 

Beach Dreams From beach balls, flip-flops & sandcastles-these are the symbols of the most wonderful memories at the beach!  This chart features our design as either a drum or a framed piece.

 Mary Porter 1832 Mary Porter was just 12 years old when she stitched this beautiful sampler. Surrounded by a strawberry border, the entire sampler is made up of floral motifs, blue birds, butterflies, & flower baskets.  In the center bottom of the sampler Mary stitched a tree of life complete with Adam & Eve and the serpent.

Here is the delightfully cute Petite Snow Buddies Etui kit. It is a limited edition kit These sweet 3” tall Penguin and Snowmen tins include adorable smalls.  Smalls feature a winter hat thread holder, a sledding party needlebook, a crystal stitch counter, a penguin scissor fob, a snowman scissor sheath, and a snowball pincushion.  Materials used include cotton floss, calicos, linen, ribbon, & beads. All materials and complete finishing instructions are included.

 

The Little Bird Blue is a small sweet necklace kit that will be the perfect addition to your sewing accessories! All instructions & materials are included.

New Designs for Fall are here!

Mummy's Moonlight Café is our new Halloween design!  

This design is smaller, but just as fun to stitch! Come and have dinner after Trick or Treating!  The mummy has hired the finest chef to serve you all the best.  Some of the new items on the menu are Brown Toad Casserole with worm gravy; Fried Bat Wings, Pickled Newt Eyes; Finger foods and best of all Ghost Cake! It promises to be an exciting meal so make sure you get there before everything sells out. 

 

Autumn Quaker is our new Quaker. 

Stitched with fall colors on 30ct Gold linen from Weeks Dye Works, this design whispers of crisp fall temperatures and the splash of leaves on the ground.  This is small enough that you can stitch it in a couple of weekends.

Quaker Christmas Needle Roll

 This sweet little needle roll and accessories are finally finished! This fun stitching project includes a needle roll that features Dorset Button floss rings, a Christmas Tree needle holder, a stitched & lined pocket that includes rom for personalization, 2 extra pincushion "puffs" at the end of the needle roll.  Note the Trifle Purse to hold thimbles and other goodies. As well as the beaded scissor fob, we will be making an adorable scissor sheath.  Last but not least is the beautiful pinball.  It looks so difficult, but is very simple to make.

This is stitched with linen from Lakeside Linens and floss from A Gentle Art.   All the ribbons and the linings are silk & the beads on the center of the puffs are garnets. 

We are including with the kit some special goodies--wooden Christmas tree floss winders, a heart-shaped waxer, & scissors.  And of course a surprise.  If you have taken classes with us before then you know we like to give each participant a "prezie" just for fun.    WE hope to see you there!!

Simple Gifts-Faith

Simple Gifts-Faith is our newest design! It is being released for the Columbus market. Like many other stitchers, we love the designs and motifs of the Quaker samplers. North Carolina was an the site of early settlement of the Society of Friends. My Dad visited a Meeting House back about 1920 with his grandfather. It stayed with him all his life. We hope that you will enjoy this sampler and ...what it means--Faith in God, family and friends. It is an intreigal part of our lives.

our next Quaker piece will be released at Nashville 2013. Simple Gifts -Courage. It is our tribute for those fight against breast cancer. Part of those proceeds will be donated to cnacer research. (more details as we get closer to publication)
